Applying product thinking in deep tech: from classical code to quantum applications
Quantum computing holds the potential to solve some of the world's most complex computational problems, provided we have the knowledge and tools to harness this power. What are the unique aspects of quantum computing that product managers should consider, what constitutes a basic yet useful product that can deliver value and gather user feedback for iteration, and who are the early users and their early use cases for quantum computing products today? In this session, Amanda will be sharing about applying product thinking and user research in deep tech, to understand users and enable developers who can code to build programs for quantum computers without any quantum knowledge.
As quantum computing is still a nascent industry, there are vast uncharted territories between scientific research, product development and design to be bridged before quantum computers can become useful. It might be interesting to learn how to apply product thinking and strategy in this field, as we can benefit from learning from the application of these principles in a narrower and more restricted area, and extrapolate them to apply them in different domains.
